Banja Luka, 22 October 2019 – EU4Justice Team Leader Ms Isabelle Arnal met with Ms Vesna Antonić, the President of the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska, who is a member of the EU4Justice Steering Committee as well.
This discussion was part of the series of meetings Ms Arnal had with representatives of the judiciary in Banja Luka, Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska, Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska and court experts. One of the goals of the visit was to prepare the Roundtable “Organisation and Role of the Court Experts in Court Proceedings in EU and BiH” on 13th and 14th November 2019 where the EU experts will present the best practices and standards in the EU and Council of Europe.
During the meeting, Ms Antonić gave a synthetic analysis of the Law on Court Experts of Republika Srpska (2017) and their practice based on her extensive experience she has acquired as a judge during her career.
