The new series of workshops and capacity building events by EU4Justice started with a workshop focusing on digital media to raise awareness of the prosecutors, judges and communicators in prosecutors’ offices on the importance of proactive communication through digital communication, navigating on these media in compliance with an ethic-oriented use. The event was organised in cooperation with CEST FBIH and CEST RS.
The workshop aimed to equip judicial communicators with the skills required to communicate effectively with external audiences on digital platforms.
EU4justice intends that the sharing of expertise in this module would promote a strategic and managed approach to digital communication and put together the use of online channels to achieve cohesive and targeted digital communication.
Ms Chantal Bussière, former member of the French High Judicial Council (Conseil Supérieur de la Magistrature – CSM), was one of the lecturers at this workshop. She delivered a presentation focused on ethics and integrity in digital media, best practices derived from the French experience. EU4Justice Key Expert for Communication, Ms Sanela Tunović-Bećirović joined Ms Bussière as a lecturer. In her presentation and discussion with participants, Ms Tunović focused on the digital environment, social media platforms and content.
When developing the workshop module, the EU4Justice experts considered the specificities of online education, so the format of the workshop was organised through three days, with two-hour sessions.
This event gathered 34 judges, prosecutors, communicators, and representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies.
