Media Relations Workshop for members of the Judiciary

Aiming to enhance and strengthen the media relations and communication skills of judiciary members the EU4Justice project, in cooperation with CEST FBiH and CEST RS, is organising an online training for judges and prosecutors “Media relations”.

The project intends to further foster participants’ knowledge in practical approaches to media relations in the judiciary. 

The workshop is scheduled to start on May 31 and will continue on June 1 and 2, 2021 from 09:30-12:30h, via the Zoom platform. Simultaneous translation will be provided.

The experts who will pass on their experience and knowledge are Ms Emmanuelle Fraysse, Mr Adnan Rondic and Ms Sanela Tunovic.

Ms Emmanuelle Fraysse is currently the Secretary-General and communication officer at the French National Financial Prosecutor’s Office. Before taking this position in January 2020, Ms Fraysse was the deputy of the national member of France at Eurojust for four years. In this position, Ms Fraysse further enhanced her expertise in the coordination of investigations and prosecutions between the Member States of the European Union in matters of organized crime (drug trafficking, financial offences, migrant smuggling, cyber-attacks, trafficking in human beings, crimes against humanity). Communication experience was further enriched while working on coordination of operational actions between States, on prevention or resolution of diplomatic tensions, streamlining of judicial cooperation by encouraging and facilitating the establishment of joint investigations teams and so on. Ms Frayesse worked in the French judiciary since 2005 in various roles, dominantly as a prosecutor.

Mr Adnan Rondić is currently working as News Presenter, main event correspondent at Aljazeera Balkans and producer. Mr Rondić is an experienced media trainer and has worked with numerous audiences assisting them in developing their public relations and media relations skills. In addition to this, Mr Rondic works as moderator and facilitator.  During his 29 years of journalist experience, he also worked as a journalist, news editor, news presenter, news director, talk show presenter, editor of special projects, and he also worked as a correspondent for the Voice of America.

Ms Sanela Tunović-Bećirović is currently working as a communication expert for EU4Justice Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a communication consultant with over 23 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, journalism, social media, media development, advertising, and media monitoring. Sanela is a PhD candidate in Communications Sciences (thesis: Corporate Communication in the function of reputation building on the example of judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina). She is an experienced trainer in a variety of communication-related themes (strategic communications, crises communication, media relations, digital communication, etc.). She has accumulated her vast experience through her work with international organisations located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which include, the OSCE, the International Commission on Missing Persons for Former Yugoslavia, the High Judicial Councils of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Office of the High Representative (OHR). Sanela has also worked as a Public Relations Consultant for the USAID funded Justice Sector Development Project I and II, during which she developed communication strategies for most of the courts and prosecutors’ offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

When developing the workshop module, the EU4Justice experts considered the specificities of online education, so the format of the workshop was organised through three days, with three-hour sessions.
