Workshop on Ethics within the public sector, controls of public officials’ means and conflict of interests

EU4Justice project, in cooperation with CEST FBiH and CEST RS, is organising an online training for judges and prosecutors “Ethics within the public sector, controls of public officials’ means and conflict of interests, the HATVP experience” in aiming to raise awareness of the prosecutors, judges, members of LEAs, investigators on how and why controlling means and conflict of interests is of importance in a modern democracy. The purpose of the workshop is to share the experience of the French body in charge of such a mission, the HATVP – High Authority for Transparency in Public Life based on concrete cases. Monitoring methodologies, control measures will be described for having a very operational impact on investigation skills of attendees. Which data are, and can be used ? To what purpose? Results of investigations? This module will be a room for exchange of experience and further interactive talks on sensitive cases. Speakers from the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life will be:

  • Alice Bossiere – Deputy Secretary General of the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life
  • Sébastien Margotte – Director of the control of public officials of the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life
  • Marie Lintzer –  Head of international partnerships of the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life
  • Tim Caron –International projects manager at the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life
