2021 will be another year of challenges for all, with the persistent covid-19 pandemic, and even more for EU4Justice and its partners as organized crime is taking advantage of this crisis, innovating in its practices (counterfeiting of medical equipment, cyber attacks, money laundering, human trafficking) and proliferates (means could be different, but no jurisdiction is immune to these practices). Solidarity, through individual and collective ethics, makes it possible to limit the effects of the virus to tend towards eradication. Within the framework of EU4Justice, this solidarity will rely on cooperation. To this end, inter-agency cooperation will be at the heart of our action for 2021 as the fight against corruption and organized crime requires diverse and coordinated skills and talents. And because viruses do not know borders, EU4Justice will ensure that agencies are anchored at the international level. Opening up operational networks, developing mutual trust, so many assets in a long-term struggle against networks operating in several countries with the same attempts on the rule of law, human dignity or the legal economy.

Disclaimer: the EU4Justice team and its experts do not have any jurisdiction or power to deal with complaints or criminal reports in BiH. The project is not a legal remedy vis-à-vis prosecutors’ decisions. We are working on capacity building of judiciary institutions.
